New Branch Manager Appointed at Douch Family Funeral Directors Dorset

Dorset-based Douch Family Funeral Directors, a well-renowned firm in the funeral industry, proudly announces the appointment of Lucy Lester as the new manager for its Lesley Shand branches in Corfe Mullen and Blandford.  

Lucy transitions from her impressive career in the private health sector, where she excelled as a high-level customer service manager, to the award-winning Dorset funeral service company. 

With an array of seven branches in total under the Douch family name, Lucy will focus on effectively managing the Corfe Mullen and Blandford branches. She joins the team that successfully oversees the highly-rated Dorset Funeral Plan. 

Commenting on her appointment, Lucy shared, “Douch Family Funeral Directors is a company that prioritises client care, consistently going above and beyond. As I work towards my National Association of Funeral Director (NAFD) qualifications, I am committed to extending the community use of our wonderful facilities in Corfe Mullen and Blandford. Our versatile ceremony rooms can cater to an array of requirements, from small community group meetings to bespoke funeral services, proving to be an invaluable resource.” 

Lucy also expressed her dedication to bridging understanding between the care home staff and funeral services. She plans to invite local care home staff to the branches to offer better insights into the process when a resident passes away. Furthermore, she supports the NAFD Bereavement in Education campaign, advocating for grief handling to be included in the National Curriculum.
