FUNDRAISER STORY
One local charity gets nominated as our Charity of the Year every year. However, this year we decided to allow all staff to fundraise for whatever charity they hold close to their heart! Therefore, this year we will not be fundraising for just one charity of the year but multiple charities.

All money raised from all staff events will be saved in the Douch Family Fundraising Pot. This money will then be distributed at the end of the year between all charities our staff have supported throughout that year.

GAIN -Guillain-Barré & Associated Inflammatory Neuropathies

Receiving a diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome or CIDP can be a terrifying and isolating experience, bringing with it many questions and an uncertain future. GAIN is the only organisation dedicated to helping people affected by Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), CIDP and the associated inflammatory neuropathies throughout the UK and Ireland. Due to a long-standing member of staff who has lived on to survive a very rare form of this auto-immune disease in 2021/2022, some staff will be raising money throughout this year for GAIN.  GAIN supported the family throughout the year with valuable guidance, support and advice.

A Charity Wash is organised for the 27th May at our Ferndown branch - AE Jolliffe & Son. Click here for further details.

A team of Douch staff and friends are embarking on a 'Branch 2 Branch' walk on the 16th September.  From A E Jolliffe's & Son in Ferndown to James Smith in Swanage. Just over 40k!

Livability Holton Lee

Livability Holton Lee is a wellbeing discovery centre set on 350 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside. It is part of the Livability family of services. They aim to support visitors in feeling good about themselves by encouraging them to build friendships and develop a sense of accomplishment.

From gardening, forestry therapy, arts and ceramics, bird watching, walking, and accessible camping, visitors can benefit from an inclusive and supportive community.

The mix of beautiful landscapes and thriving garden projects is perfect for mindful relaxation and absorbing activity. The centre is open to the general community and also has a particular understanding of disability and mental health.

Our Albert Marsh Wareham branch will be supporting this charity and started with a bike ride fundraiser on the 1st July.  A fantastic achievement and a great amount raised.

Ladybird Breast Clinic at Poole Hospital

Amy from our Douch & Small, Wimborne branch, is supporting the Ladybird Breast Clinic at Poole Hospital.  A clinic supporting those suspected or diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

On Saturday 25th June Rob and his friend Andy carried out a charity cycle ride, cycling from Wimborne to Bristol and back again in a day.  A whopping 160 miles!
Cancer Research UK

Elise and her son Jesse are supporting Cancer Research UK this year.  Jesse took part in a Muddy Race for Life on the 3rd of June.  His fundraising link for this charity is Sponsor Jesse here
An important contributor to our shared goal is the Casino Group that helps players worldwide to understand the basic rules of responsible gaming in order to avoid gambling addiction. The group's mission is to spread awareness about pluses and minuses of online gaming and this includes introducing people to rules and strategies of available games like slot machines or popular card games (you can read more about such games on a dedicated page here biegniepodleglej.pl/najpopularniejsze-gry-kasynowe) and how to play online in a safe and responsible way. Shared funds are invested into creating a safe and player-friendly casino environment.
